Classics Major or Minor; 2nd. Majors Welcome

You may work exclusively in English with courses in Classics, art, history etc.  These courses also meet the humanities requirement in Arts and Sciences.  Or you may combine foreign language study in Latin (1507/1502 level and above) or Greek (1301 and above) with the Classics courses.  Click on Classics in English, With Latin or With Greek for more information.  

Classics Major:  30 hours in Classics, Latin at the 1507/1502 level and above, Greek, Art 3310, C LT 2301, HIST 3340, and PHIL 3301.  Please note:

18 hours must be junior-senior level, and
6 hours must be writing intensive.  See advisor for details. 

Classics Minor:  18 hours including 6 hours of junior-senior coursework from among the classes listed above for the major.
